Not many know this but one of my favorite things around the Holidays is when my step-siblings come over to celebrate for a night of drinking – and I mean drinking y’all. We enjoy all the Bourbon, play rounds of chess and chat about the world.

My step sister Sarah is the one who actually introduced me to the idea of Bourbon and eggnog, which is what inspired this year’s holiday drink!

Eggnog has been a part of holiday traditions since the 1700s when America was filled with farms, chickens and cows – oh and lots of cheap rum. This drink brings a little twist to your usual Eggnog recipe by replacing Rum with Bourbon. It adds a wonderful warmth when combined with a few other powerful spices to create a drink that will surely ignite your holiday spirit. However, it is a bit stronger so be mindful when consuming! Hope you enjoy this as much as I do! xo
