Tis the season for incredible hot elixirs that warm the body and give you all the feels.

I broke up with coffee about two months ago, and since then I have searched for alternative solutions for not only the stimulant aspect of coffee but also the ritual.

Holding a hot cup of goodness and watching the steam slowly rise during the winter months brings you a feeling of not just satisfaction, but also stimulating inspiration.

This recipe has undergone many transformations and I’ve finally landed on the perfect harmony of bold spices and radical flavor.

Try this deliciousness on your next chilly morning and the feeling of warmth will travel from your fingertips all the way down to your toes!

The goodness:

1 cup of Vanilla Nut milk

1 TBS Maca powder

2 TBS cacao powder

½ TSP Coconut oil

½ TSP cinnamon

1 tsp Vanilla extract

Blender

If you choose to use plain milk, feel free to add 1 tsp of sugar to the recipe. However, I have found that using a sweetened milk reduces the need for any added sugar. 🙂

1 tsp of sugar can also be substituted with 1 TBS of your favorite maple syrup or agave.

The ‘How to’:

Heat the milk in a saucepan until the desired temp is achieved. (Please do not boil)

Blend the warmed milk with all the other ingredients in a blender.

Pour into a cup and serve!

Optional toppings:

Coconut whip cream

Marshmallows

Optional additives:

1 drop of peppermint essential oil

1 tsp of cayenne
